The Interactive GTA 6 Map
State of Leonida, Vice City and beyond
The official GTA 6 map has not been revealed yet. What you see below is a community-built rendition pieced together from trailer footage, official screenshots, and the 2022 leaked gameplay. Fans have been matching landmarks, road signs, and in-game coordinates to estimate the full layout of Leonida.

Large blank areas are expected. The community could not place details there due to a lack of footage. Streets, neighborhoods, and points of interest may be missing.
This is similar to the GTA V mapping project on GTAForums, where fans reconstructed Los Santos from trailers before launch. That version turned out to be very close to the real map.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is GTA 6 set?
GTA 6 takes place in Leonida, a fictional state based on Florida. Vice City, Rockstar's version of Miami, is the main urban center. The map also includes swamps, rural towns, tropical islands, and national parks.
Is Vice City the only city in the game?
No. Vice City is the biggest city, but the map contains several other regions. Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, the Grassrivers (based on the Everglades), the Leonida Keys (based on the Florida Keys), and Mount Kalaga National Park have all been confirmed through trailer footage.
How large is the GTA 6 map compared to GTA 5?
Community estimates based on trailer analysis suggest the Leonida map is roughly twice the size of the GTA 5 map. It spans multiple counties with varied terrain, including urban coastlines, dense swampland, and rural farmland.
Will there be a second state in GTA 6?
Evidence points to a state called Gloriana, inspired by Georgia, appearing in some capacity. It might be accessible as a side region or added later as part of a post-launch expansion.
Can players go inside buildings?
Yes. Rockstar has shown a wide range of enterable interiors in the trailers: nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, pawn shops, gun stores, supermarkets, and the Vice City Metro Station. The game appears to have far more accessible buildings than any previous entry.
Will the map grow after launch?
Rockstar has stated they plan to expand the world over time by adding new cities and missions after release. The idea is to keep the game feeling fresh rather than dropping everything at once.
